New Azerbaijan Party appeals to CEC against two presidential candidates and two newspapers

NAP told APA that they appealed to the CEC as the aforementioned persons and newspapers continued election campaign after its term ended and fragrantly violated the Election Code.

The Party said that thought the election campaign is banned on the election day and a day befor it according to the Article #75.1 of the Election Code, “Azadlig” and “Yeni Musavat” newspapers fragrantly violated the law on their 8 October edition by publishing election materials of presidential candidate from the National Councl Jamil Hasanli.

“Both newspapers published materials on the promotion of presidential candidate Jamil Hasanli and his challenges against other candidates. “Yeni Musavat” newspapers also published pre-election campaign material of other presidential candidate Igbal Aghazade and fragrantly violated the requirements of the Election Code. New Azerbaijan Party has sent a letter to the CEC to investigate all these violations and give them legal assessment,” said the Party.
