Ilham Aliyev: " Azerbaijan has turned into a center for logistics and transport"

Baku- APA. "We are implementing huge infrastructure projects. The construction of the Baku -Tbilisi -Kars railway continues successfully. This project will be a project linking the continents. This will be a project linking Europe with Asia," said President of Azerbaijan at the opening of new building of Air Traffic Control Center of “Azeraeronavigation” Air Traffic Department of Azerbaijan Airlines.

Talking about the fact that Azerbaijan and Baku turned into a center for logistics and transport, the President noted that the volume of freight traffic in the country has increased. Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan has become an essential transit country .

"It is our great advantage. The development of this field will give us a great advantage in the future. A large volume of investments are put today. This is the way it should be. Investments, put in infrastructure, determine the development of the country. But of course with the creation of infrastructure, investment will return. This subsequently will bring revenue to our country for a long period, and will develop our non-oil sector. "
