Ilham Aliyev: â€œThis problem should be completely eradicated. It should not be in Azerbaijanâ€

Baku- APA. "The fight against corruption is a priority. There are good results, successes in this fight. The work of the Anti-Corruption Department should be praised in this regard. I am confident that in the coming years even greater successes will be achieved. This problem should be completely eradicated. It should not be in Azerbaijan,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the opening of the new administrative building of Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General.

Delivering a speech about fight against corruption in the country, the Head of the State stressed that Azerbaijan is in the foreground for the index of transparency on a global scale: "Corruption exists in every country, in every society. But the main question - is the level and scope of coverage. We have to narrow constantly the field for corruption. Here we are using and will use a variety of methods. In the first place, the punishment should be even stricter. Every citizen must know that his acts of corruption will not go unpunished. "

President Ilham Aliyev also spoke of systemic reforms in this area. Speaking on the activities of «ASAN service», the President said that within short period of time, more than 500,000 people addressed «ASAN service»: "This service operates less than a year, and covers only Baku, Sumgait and Absheron peninsula. But people appeal. Why? Because there is no corruption. There, people have civilized services.

I have repeatedly expressed my thoughts on the fight against corruption, and have repeatedly asked the citizens to address the relevant authorities with their applications and proposals.
