First vice-speaker of Azerbaijani parliament: â€œI do not recognize a state called Armeniaâ€

According to Ziyafat Asgarov, he is making this statement with full responsibility. “Armenia with all its attributes is not a state in the sense that we understand, it is an outpost. Armenia is doing whatever it is dictated to do. Armenia has no independent foreign policy so that we can ask them how far they will go ignoring the international law, decision passed by the UN,” he said.

Ziyafat Asgarov also issued a message to Armenia. “You have got a lot of problems, your economic situation is deteriorating day-by-day. Every year hundreds of thousands of citizens leave the country. Your pension policy is bad. Your foreign debt is high. You have billions of internal debt. One can not call this situation a state. If they were a state, one could talk with them, but unfortunately the reality is different. Armenia has joined the Customs Union. It is their own business, but what is surprising is that it has no border with the countries that joined the Customs Union. What will you get from this union? Whose territories will you use? We understand that all these are games,” he said.
