Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Baku Court of Appeal has today held a hearing on the appeal of presidential candidate Jamil Hasanli against the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Tural Hajibeyli, a representative of Jamil Hasanli at the hearing, told APA that the court rejected the appeal.
Hajibeyli said that they appealed to the court due to the notice posted on CEC’s website: “Azerbaijan” newspaper has published the list of closed and open places for pre-election meetings and rallies. CEC has posted that list on its website in another form. The CEC’s website introduces these places as a place for presidential candidate to meet with electors. We have appealed to the court demanding to consider this notice illegal and publish the court decision on the CEC’s website.”
