Azerbaijani Prosecutor Generalâ€™s Office receives 5 appeals on election process irregularities

The sides discussed the upcoming presidential elections.

Rustam Usubov said all necessary measures have been taken under the Election Code for urgent investigation of reports regarding irregularities in the election process. He noted that a special working group was established at the Prosecutor General’s Office. As of October 4, the Prosecutor’s Office has received 5 appeals, including 1 anonymous.

Head of the CIS observation mission Yevgeni Sloboda said the mission has already been formed and consists of 276 persons. Currently, short-term observers are coming to Azerbaijan. They are sent to the regions after having been instructed and receiving relevant documents.
