Azerbaijani Health Ministry issues statement on death of mother in childbirth in Ganja

Ministry’s press service told APA that 32-year old Rijai Fargana Ismat was brought to the hospital for childbirth on September 22 at 16:20 and her biological death occurred at 16:30. It was the fifth pregnancy and third childbirth of the mother. The case has been sent for the medical examination. Though the relatives of the woman first rejected to the dissection of her body, later they gave consent. The causes of the death will be known after the body is examined in the Department of Health Ministry’s Forensic-Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Union in Ismayilli.

Obstetrical Commission of the Health Ministry will pass the final decision.

Ganja resident died in childbirth in the hospital. It happened in Ganja Region Perinatal Center. 32-year old Rijai Fargana Ismat was brought to the hospital and died in childbirth. The reasons haven’t been revealed. Ganja City Prosecutor’s Office said that the investigation had been launched into the fact.
