Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today received the delegation of members of the European Parliament from Germany led by Eduard Lintner visiting Azerbaijan to observe the presidential elections.
The Foreign Ministry told APA that they discussed the preparation for the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan, conditions created for observers and exchanged views on the activities carried out by Azerbaijan in this regard.
It was also said that about 2000 international observers will monitor the presidential elections on October 9 and necessary conditions have been created for them to fulfill their missions.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed about the ongoing developments in the region and responded to the guests’ questions on the directions of Azerbaijan's foreign policy.
