Abbas Abbasov: â€œI consider that Ilham Aliyev is a decent choice of the decent peopleâ€

We have always aimed to help people. My position still remains unchanged,” said Abbas Abbasov, chairman of the Elders Council of Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in Russia “AzerRos”, APA reports.

Abbasov said that since 1991, Azerbaijan has long moved towards the development of democracy and it happened consistently: “I consider that today, the main condition of the country's development and progress is stability and inheritance principle of Azerbaijan’s development course. What has been built should not be destroyed. To my mind, the course has been chosen correctly and must be continued. Only this will allow us to maintain a democratic civil society established by Heydar Aliyev. We must be worthy of his memory. We all must participate in the elections. I consider that Ilham Aliyev is a decent choice of the decent people.”
