Ilham Aliyev: "Armenian fascism should be investigated more largely by Azerbaijani scientists"

Baku-APA. Armenian fascism should be investigated more largely by Azerbaijani scientists, said President Ilham Aliyev at the opening of the Genocide Memorial Complex in Guba, APA reports.

He noted that, the soldiers served for Hitler during World War II are accepted as heroes in Armenia and monuments are erected in their honor.

“It shows that the ideology of modern Armenian state is established on the fascism. I think that very detailed scientific works should be created on historical parallels. I am very glad that recently as well as on my initiative our scientists have created enough detailed and interesting works about Irevan khanate and our historical territories. We also deliver this history to younger generations. For example, I guess that declaring Irevan city as Armenia’s capital was not clear to many. When we raised this issue, and focused our attention on this issue through historical facts, then everyone in Azerbaijan as well as people in the world knew that Irevan was declared Armenian state’s capital basing on the decision of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Therefore I think that detailed scientific works reflecting the historical truth have to be created. A part of them has been created. But we should focus on this issue more attentively, said the Head of State.

The Head of State also noted that the committers of Khojaly genocide are in power in Armenia now.

“This tragedy happened in front of world’s eyes. It means that we see it through real facts, but not like so-called “Armenian Genocide” myth based on baseless mythology. The videos, photos, words of living witnesses- all these are reality and truth”, said Ilham Aliyev

President also added that on that night, when Armenians committed genocide in Khojaly, 613 peaceful residents were murdered with a special cruelty; among them were 63 children, 106 women and 70 elderly people. .
