â€œNew Azerbaijanâ€ campaign group held over thousand meetings in various regions of Azerbaijan

Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œNew Azerbaijanâ€ campaign group held over thousand meetings in connection with March 18 referendum in various regions of Azerbaijan, responsible representative of the group, deputy chairman of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov told APA. He said that the campaign had been perfectly organized and covered the majority of the voters. Ahmadov said Azerbaijani intellectuals, parliamentarians, public figures had participated in the campaign of the group.
â€œAll the meetings were very interesting. The voters support the proposed amendments and annexes. Thatâ€™s why we think that people will be active in the voting and support the amendments and annexes,â€ he said.

As regards mass rallies, Ali Ahmadov said there was no need for it.
â€œ41 amendments and annexes to 29 articles have been proposed to the referendum. We had long discussions and came to the conclusion that the main philosophy of the campaign should be the explanation of the essence of the proposed issues. People have information about it, but meetings should be held in order to raise awareness. It is impossible to raise awareness by holding mass rallies. Thatâ€™s why we held meetings with people. This tactics produced good results, so there was no need to hold rallies,â€ he said.
