Workshop on “Informative sessions for prevention of interference in the election process” in Ganja

Ganja. Nazakat Mashadialigizi–APA. “We are interested in democratic changes to the Constitution of Azerbaijan”, said Alexis Shahtakhtinsky, Head of the OSCE Office in Baku during the workshop on the “Informative sessions for prevention of interference in the election process” in Ganja, APA Western bureau reports. Executive authorities of 28 cities and regions and chairs of 44 district election commissions were informed about the legislative acts on the prevention of interference in the election process. The participants were also provided with the practical examples of the interference in the election process and about the OSCE democratic commitments. Alexis Shahtaxtinsky told APA local bureau that the executive officials shouldn’t interfere in the election process in any cases. “The citizens shouldn’t vote under pressure. I hope the referendum will be democratic”.
