Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. Baku City Executive Power did not allow to the Youth Organization of the Citizens Solidarity Party (CSP) to hold picket before the Embassy of Iran in Baku on February 17. CSP press service told APA the city officials did not consider it advisable to hold an action to protest the Iranian “Sahar” TV’s “Compass” program’s campaign against the Azerbaijani statehood and CSP leader Sabir Rustamkhanli. Chief of the department for work with public organizations and political parties of the City Executive Power Zaur Ramazanov sent a letter of reply to CSP and advised to party to express its process with more civil methods through the mass media.
CSP Youth Organization considered the city official’s answer as a contrary to the Constitution. “We, guided by the Constitution, sent a warning letter to the Baku City Executive Power about the action and the Mayor’s Office has no right not to allow the action”.

The party’s functionary Samir Asadli told APA they are insistent in holding the action. “The picket will take place on another day, if it does not realize on February 17”.
