Armenian Defense Ministry approves its losses in Aghdam frontline

Armenian defense ministry blamed a civilian living in Nagorno Karabakh for the incident, APA reports quoting News Armenia agency. According to the reports, Bad Tevosian, 26, being in drunk, moved toward the positions of Azerbaijani troops at about 17.30 on January 26. Armenian militaries could not stop him and it caused shooting which resulted with death of Bad Tevosian and 26-year old serviceman Arkadiy Akopian. Armenian defense ministry said Azerbaijani Army also had losses in the shooting and added that Tevosian’s body remained in the territory controlled by Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry also released report on the incident. “Units of Armenian armed forces started to move forward from the direction of Javahirli Village of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam Region at about 19.00 on January 26 to seize one of the posts of Azerbaijani Army and to strengthen their position. The enemy was under the control in its first action. Azerbaijani soldiers started to fire on the enemy allowing them to approach their post”, Spokesman for the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan Eldar Sabiroglu told APA, speaking about the shooting in Aghdam frontline on January 26.
Sabiroglu said three Armenian soldiers were killed and several wounded in one-hour battle and after that the enemy retreated. “One body is under the control near the line of contact and two others were taken away by the Armenians. No casualties were among the Azerbaijani Army”.
