Court decision on launching criminal investigation against lawyer of one arrested during April 2 rally

Lawyer Elchin Namazov told APA that the defenders got a petition on the arrangements of conditions for the acquaintance with the protocol of judicial session held on August 22. But the petition was not ensured.

According to Namazov, the petition on protest was presented to the judge: â€œThe judge was treating rough to me. And I expressed my protest on it. After the consultation, the judge passes a decision on launching a criminal case against me, removing me from the process as Hajibayliâ€™s lawyer and sending the decision to the prosecutorâ€™s officeâ€.

The process will be continued on September 2.

The criminal case has been launched on April 2 incidents within the Criminal Codeâ€™s articles 233 (Organization of actions promoting infringement of a social order or active participation in such actions) and 315 (Resistance or application of violence concerning the representative of authority). 14 persons were brought to the criminal responsibility.
