The construction of a four-lane highway to the Azerbaijani border in Georgia will be fully completed by the end of 2031, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, the highway will stretch from the Sarpi border checkpoint on the Turkish border to the Red Bridge border checkpoint on the Azerbaijani border and the Sadakhlo border checkpoint on the Armenian border.
“This highway will also bypass Tbilisi, which is of great importance in terms of reducing traffic congestion in the capital,” the Prime Minister added.
