Mutallibov noted that when he came to Baku due to his sonâ€™s death, he visited the memorials of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and his wife Zarifa Khanum Aliyeva. â€œI returned to Baku due to our familyâ€™s tragedy - my sonâ€™s death and of course, I visited the memorials of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and his wife, outstanding ophthalmologist-scientist Zarifa Khanum Aliyeva. When I stood in front of his memorial, the memory brought me back to my way from the director of production association to the post of minister, chairman of the State Planning Committee, member of the Supreme Council of Azerbaijan SSR, when I was working under the Heydar Aliyevâ€™s administration. I was using all my knowledge and forces to justify the nationwide leaderâ€™s confidence. Despite the period of stagnation in USSR, Heydar Aliyev was leading Azerbaijan to the development and seeing the happy future of the country. Thatâ€™s why when Azerbaijan reached its independence it didnâ€™t face with serious economic problems. Seeing present-day Azerbaijan, everyone understands that the work of the nationwide leader is in safe hands and Azerbaijan is developing and heading forwardâ€.
