Araz Alizadeh: Ayaz Mutallibovâ€™s immunity has been ensured on the state level

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œThe immunity of Ayaz Mutallibov, who returned to Azerbaijan to attend his sonâ€™s funeral, has been ensured on the state level,â€ co-chair of Azerbaijan Social Democratic Party Araz Alizadeh told journalists, APA reports.

Araz Alizadeh said President Ilham Aliyev had been appealed to concerning Ayaz Mutallibovâ€™s returning.
â€œPresident demonstrated great humanism and gave permission. Azad Mutallibov had been ill for a long time. The permission had been given before Azad Mutallibovâ€™s health reached critical condition. Simply, Ayaz Mutallibov did not have an opportunity to return to Azerbaijan,â€ he said.

Alizadeh said Heydar Aliyev Foundation appropriated money for Azad Mutallibovâ€™s medical treatment. â€œOn behalf of Ayaz Mutallibov, his family, our party and myself, I express gratitude to president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva, to President Ilham Aliyev for these humanistic steps. We also express gratitude to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia, which solved the documentation issues. Ayaz Mutallibov arrived in Baku thanks to the humanism of the Azerbaijani President and got an opportunity to attend the funerals of his son. I wish such humanistic steps to continue further. We are the sons of one nationâ€.

ASDP co-chair answered the question concerning the criminal case launched against Ayaz Mutallibov: â€œDuring the autumn session, the parliament will make a decision concerning the status of ex-president and this issue will be solved. Currently the immunity of Ayaz Mutallibov has been ensured on the state level. If it was not ensured, he would be arrested on his arrivalâ€.

Alizadeh didnâ€™t give details about Mutallibovâ€™s staying in Azerbaijan. He said ex-president wouldnâ€™t make statement for the press during his staying in Baku. â€œThe loss of son is a great grief for the father. I felt it. I ask the media representatives to approach this issue from the humanistic prismâ€.
