According to APA, Armenian invaders occupied all territory of Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan in 1992 and extended military operations against the nearby regions.

Offensive warfare intensified beginning from May 11, 1993, ended with an occupation of Aghdam. Armenians occupied 77.4 percent of the Aghdam’s territory and they continue the occupation until now. About 130 000 displaced persons from Aghdam were settled in 875 settlements of 59 regions of Azerbaijan. The town of Aghdam and 80 nearby villages are under the occupation. 122 villages, 24,446 residential houses, 48 industry and construction enterprises, 160 school buildings 65 health centers, 373 cultural centers, 1 theatre, 3 mosques and 2 museums were burnt and completely destroyed. Armenian aggression caused 13 billion 135 million USD damages on the region. It is the largest region of Azerbaijan for the number of martyrs it gave during the Karabakh war. Nearly 6 000 residents of the region were killed in the battles with the Armenian invaders. The administrative center of the region moved to Guzanli village.
