Azerbaijani President visits Sumgayit

APA reports that the head of state viewed the stands reflecting the renovation and reconstruction works which will be conducted in the city and at the entry of Sumgayit. Head of the Sumgayit City Executive Power Eldar Azizov informed President about the works which will be conducted in the city.

The head of state gave relevant instructions and recommendations for highl-evel reconstruction and renovation. Following this, President visited Heydar Aliyevâ€™s monument in the center of the city and laid a bunch of flowers at it. The head of state familiarized himself with the reconstruction and renovation works conducted in Sumgayit seaside cultural and amusement park named after Heydar Aliyev. President met with public representatives. The head of state attended the inauguration of Sumgayit Children-Youth Sport School #1 after overhaul and reconstruction. President cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening. President met with the sportsmen. Following this, President familiarized himself with the school, viewed the gym, volleyball, basketball, fitness, tennis, boxing studios, pool, watched the performance of the sportsmen.

Following this, the head of state familiarized himself with the overall reconstruction in the Heydar Aliyev Park in the center of Sumgayit. President viewed the sketch photographs of the Heydar Aliyev Museum in the park. The head of state was informed about the work that will be done in the park. Azerbaijani President also familiarized himself with the overhaul and reconstruction in â€œKimyachiâ€ Cultural Palace. President viewed the stand describing the reconstruction of the Heydar Aliyev Square. The head of state familiarized himself with the overhaul and reconstruction in Juma (Friday) Mosque in Sumgayit. Akhund of the mosque informed President about the work that will be done in the mosque.
It was said that a new minaret will be built in the mosque. Akhund presented Koran to the head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the high-voltage equipment plant in Sumgayit Technologies Park. President of Azerenerji OJSC Etibar Pirverdiyev gave information about the plant. The equipment produced using the most advanced technologies, machine-tools produced in Finland, Germany and Turkey and laboratory testing devices were installed in the plant.

The head of state also familiarized himself with the hot dip galvanizing plant in Sumgayit Technologies Park. The head of state was told that there are all conditions in the plant for galvanizing 15-meter long steel products. The technology used in the plant ensures efficient and ecologically clean production process. It was noted that the state-of-the-art technologies guarantee the quality of the products.
