Ali Ahmadov: â€œThe meeting of the foreign diplomats in Azerbaijan with the members of the Public Chamber is not like a chance eventâ€

If Azerbaijani society supported the radical wing of the opposition, the New Azerbaijan Party would be a supporter of the dialogue with themâ€, deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov told journalists, APA reports. He also expressed opinion about the meeting of foreign diplomats with the Public Chamber representatives on June 10 in the Musavat Party headquarters. Ali Ahmadov said he doubted that such meetings would contribute to the government-opposition dialogue. â€œI donâ€™t think that the purpose of the oppositionâ€™s radical wing in the meetings with the representatives of the embassies and international organizations is to discuss the dialogue issues. They may gather to discuss other issues. They meet on the eve of the rallies they schedule. I donâ€™t know it is a chance event or not. But it is not like a chance event. The opposition should rely on the support of the citizens first of all. The opposition, which is supported outside the country, can not represent the interests of the country. There are examples of the results of outside support: Iraq, Afghanistan and other countriesâ€.

Ahmadov said he didnâ€™t know that the representative of the Turkish embassy also participated in the meeting organized in the Musavat Partyâ€™s headquarters. â€œIf he participated, I donâ€™t think that he supported any actions against the position and interests of the state of Azerbaijanâ€.
