Azerbaijan Administrative Violation Code amended

According to APA, chairman of the Parliamentâ€™s Legal Policy and State-building Committee Ali Huseynli informed the lawmakers about the amendments at the parliament meeting on Friday. According to the draft amendment, violation of residing, transit rules by foreigners and non-citizens in Azerbaijan, non-registered residing, violation of employment rules, staying in the country after expiration of the term of residence will be considered as infringements. The foreigners and non-citizens violating the rules of transit will be deported from the country or face with money penalty of AZN 300-400.

Azerbaijani citizens inviting and offering residence to the foreigners and non-citizens will also face with money penalty of AZN 300-400 if their guests will violate rules of residence staying in the country after expiration of the term of residence.

Officials of the organizations and agencies receiving, serving and employing the foreigners, as well as fulfilling the duties concerning their residence, staying and transiting in the country, will face with money penalty of AZN 300-500 for violation of rules of documentation giving them the rights to live and to work in Azerbaijan.

Husyenli also said that according to the amendments, for violation of the rules of employment or involving the foreigners and non-citizens without individual permission, the individuals will face money penalty of AZN 3000-5000 and legal entities â€“ AZN 30000-35000.
