Azerbaijani parliament to hold extraordinary meetings

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Decision has been passed to hold extraordinary meetings of the Azerbaijani parliament in June, spokesman for the parliament Akif Tevekkuloglu told APA.

Tevekkuloglu said he does not know how many extraordinary meetings will be held in June and added that according to the internal regulations, the parliament can hold minimum two plenary meetings in a month.

Akif Tevekkuloglu said the parliament will confirm the legislative actions submitted by Azerbaijani President and the draft laws included into the spring session, but which were not adopted.

One of the meetings of the parliament is expected to take place on June 21. Amendments to the constitutional law on “Ombudsman” will be put to the final vote at the meeting.
