Fuad Aleskerov: Christoph StrÃ¤sserâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan under present circumstances is of no importance

Representatives of the European Parliament, PACE and other international organizations are attending the conference,â€ Fuad Aleskerov, Head of the Department for Work with Law-Enforcement Bodies of the Presidential Administration, told journalists, APA reports. Fuad Aleskerov said the aim of the event is to achieve determination of common criteria in Europe concerning the issue of â€œpolitical prisonerâ€ that is a sensitive problem for Azerbaijan, as well as for every country.
â€œAs a result of the conference we will prepare a resolution and send to the European Parliament and PACE. We will offer the application of these criteria to every state without the exception. We will get rid of the double standards. There should be universal criteria in all European countries,â€ he said.
