Event on 88th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev held at Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION </font>

APA reports that Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kemaleddin Heydarov made a speech at the event.

Minister noted that Heydar Aliyevâ€™s anniversary is marked by all Azerbaijanis, including the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Kemaleddin Heydarov said Heydar Aliyev played a great role in the history of Azerbaijan. Minister noted that Azerbaijan became one of the leading republics of the USSR as a result of the policy pursued by Heydar Aliyev after he came to power in 1969.
â€œIt became possible as a result of the successful policy pursued by Heydar Aliyev. Petrochemistry, construction and other spheres developed in Azerbaijan during the leadership of Heydar Aliyev,â€ he said.

Kemaleddin Heydarov also spoke about the activity of Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 1990-1993, said thanks to his merits the Autonomous Republic remained as a part of Azerbaijan.
â€œHeydar Aliyev, who returned to power in 1993, ensured stability in Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyevâ€™s successful policy is followed by Ilham Aliyev. Azerbaijan is known as the most developed country in the region. Positive dynamics was observed in Azerbaijanâ€™s economy even in the period of global financial crisis,â€ he said.

Noting that the Ministry of Emergency Situations was established in Azerbaijan in 2005, Minister said progress was achieved in all spheres, including security.
â€œThe Ministry of Emergency Situations has become an agency able to give assistance even to foreign countries,â€ he said.

Following this, deputy executive secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Mubariz Gurbanli addressed the event. Speaking about the political activity of Heydar Aliyev, the parliamentarian said Azerbaijan became an independent state as a result of his merits.
â€œToday Azerbaijan is the leading country of the Caucasus as Heydar Aliyevâ€™s policy is followed by Ilham Aliyev. Azerbaijan has 2/3 GDP of the Caucasus. Great projects such as, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars are the results of this policy. As a result of this policy Azerbaijan has the strongest army in the region, provides itself with food and energy, is the leader in the region for its economic potential,â€ he said.

Mubariz Gurbanli highly appreciated the work done by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, underlined that the ministry demonstrated selflessness in the natural disaster in the country.
