Ilham Aliyev: We need to ensure healthy competition in the country

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said about it at the meeting dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship in agriculture sector in Karabakh economic area, held on May 6 in Agjabadi.

He stressed that both local entrepreneurs and foreign investors are showing interest in Azerbaijan and this is the result of the fact that our country is very correct investment policy. "In general, the volume of investments in Azerbaijan is approaching 100 billion dollars. We can say that just over fifty percent of these investments are domestic investments", - Ilham Aliyev said.

The President noted that Azerbaijan has implemented investment projects. State Investment Company performs very important functions in this area. State Investment Company more financially supports the creation of large infrastructure and industrial facilities. According to the National Fund for Entrepreneurship longer supports the creation of agricultural and processing enterprises and regional significance.

The President stressed that combating against bribery and corruption in Azerbaijan gives positive results. It shows itself in the social sphere, activity of state structures is becoming more transparent, increasing public scrutiny. At the same time in the business sector should also be put an end to bribery, unreasonable demands. "Entrepreneurs, for their part, have to fight against the unreasonable demands, to resist when faced with any negative phenomena, notify the appropriate government agencies about any negative phenomena", - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.
