United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party issues statement condemning action with religious slogans outside Education Ministry

Baku â€“ APA. United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party condemned the action held outside the Education Ministry by a group of persons chanting religious slogans contradicting Azerbaijanâ€™s constitutional state structure, APA reports. The statement says:
â€œUnited Azerbaijan Popular Front Party once more states that religion is separate from state and education is secular in Azerbaijan. Holding actions demanding to permit carrying religious attributes at the secular educational establishments serves the violation of stability in the country. United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party considers that Azerbaijanâ€™s relevant bodies should carry out investigations concerning the persons organizing such actions and those supporting them, take strict measures concerning all actions against the prospects of secular and democratic development of our people.â€

Taking into account the threats of outside forces to violate stability in Azerbaijan, United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party called on the political forces, mass media, nongovernmental organizations to condemn the happenings, struggle against the actions contradicting the basic principles of our Constitution.
