Azerbaijanâ€™s President gets acquainted with new houses built for residents of Gasimbeyli village of Sabirabad region affected by Kur flooding

The Head of State was told that activities were being carried out successfully to build new houses in stead of those destroyed in the aftermath of the flooding, to repair damaged houses.

President visited the house of the village resident Bakhtiyar Abishov. It was said that the natural disaster mostly destroyed the houses built from raw brick. But special attention was paid to the construction of the high-quality houses in line with all the standards for the people, who lost their houses. Compared to the old houses, the new houses have more rooms and are larger.

As the home appliances went out of order, the houses have been provided with new ones. 74 houses have been built in Gasimbeyli village, 55 of them have already been commissioned. 169 individual houses have been built in Gasimbeyli, Yukhari Akhtachi, Muradbeyli, Esgerbeyli villages of Sabirabad. 85 of them are already used.

President was told that elimination of the damage, reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure had almost been completed. Approximately AZN 10 million compensation was given to the sufferers. The main stage of the dam construction and coastal fortification in the villages along the Kur River has been completed. Check dam has been repaired and stone quarrying done in 16km area along the right and left banks of the Kur River.

13 water passages and sluices have been built in most villages of Sabirabad. It prevents the possible problems, serious measures have been taken to ensure peopleâ€™s safety.

The owners of the house expressed their gratitude to President for attention and care, large and nice house built for them.
