Musavat Party issues statement on search conducted in partyâ€™s headquarters

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. Musavat Party issued statement on the search in the partyâ€™s headquarters conducted by 5 employees of Baku City Main Police Office and Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s Office under the Sabail District Courtâ€™s decision. The Party told APA that the documents belonging to the Public Chamber were confiscated from the headquarters during the search.

Musavat Party noted that the Public Chamberâ€™s activity has been transparent since its establishing, it publicizes all of its decisions and holds sessions with the participation of journalists.

The statement underlined that the investigation launched on April 2, 2011 rally was illegal and assessed the search as a pressure on the Public Chamberâ€™s members.

Musavat Party declared the search conducted in partyâ€™ headquarters illegal and condemned it.

The statement reflects the immediate release of the persons arrested in April 2 rally and the suspension of criminal case launched on the fact.
