Court doesnâ€™t change Arif Hajiliâ€™s pretrial detention to house arrest

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh â€“ APA. The judicial trial on basis of the petition of Head of Central Executive Board of Musavat Party Arif Hajili was held in Sabail District Court. Lawyer Asabali Mustafayev told APA that the lawyers gave petition on the protest to Judge Famil Nasibov who led the procedure. The judge maintained that petition untried. The court had not secured the given petition on change of Hajiliâ€™s pretrial detention to house arrest.

On April 2, the Public Chamber attempted to hold rally in Bakuâ€™s centre. The criminal case has been launched concerning the incidents took place that day on the article 233 (organization of actions promoting infringement of a social order or active participation in such actions) and article 315 (resistance or application of violence concerning the representative of authority). Sabail District Court sentenced Hajili to two-month pretrial detention.
