Azerbaijani President: “We remember orange ribbons and bows very wellâ€
“Do not pay attention to these people. Their acts are only steps taken for show, it can not damage neither stability in Azerbaijan, nor successful development of the country. During the incidents took place in the early1990s – civil war in Azerbaijan, those persons run away cowardly, that is why, there is no place in political stage of our country for such people. Those persons are already in the archive of history. Periodical incidents in any country just inspire and revive them we saw it in 2005. That time, the incidents took place in the CIS space inspired them and they were engaged in imitation of somebody’s practice. We remember orange ribbons and bows very well. Those attempts failed as well. Because Azerbaijani nation did not support their acts. And this time, it does not worth to even speak about this issue. Because, Azerbaijan is so powerful, socio-political stability is so strong in the country that, Azerbaijani nation said “no†to those who try to hinder our activity, damage successful development of Azerbaijan and who are sometimes ordered by foreign forces! Our fate is in our hands. Our biggest wealth is our independence. We have to strengthen our independence with concrete works, programs, construction worksâ€, the President said.
The president also noted that Azerbaijan had increased its impact over the processes in the region: “Today, non issue can be solved without taking Azerbaijan, our interests into the consideration. I expressed my opinion son it several times and life shows that these are not only the words. It is the situation showing the reality. If somebody wants to put Azerbaijan’s interests aside, then he/she see that non issue can be solved without providence of our interests, neither in political stage, nor from the viewpoint of regional cooperation, economic sphere… Today, Azerbaijan has become into regional factor and our power increasing day-by-day gladdens country citizens, our friends. Unfortunately, there are still forces which want to damage the state. I do not want to call them as force. Today, every novelty – launching of roads, opening of schools, building of power plants, in general, a lot of works - gladden each citizen, but not them. For them, the worse the situation, the better for them. That is, it in some way unfortunate people who have devoted their entire lives to the cause, directed against a happy future of Azerbaijan. They organize, if I may say so, their attempts damage the interests of Azerbaijan. They are anti-national forces. You know, the relationship between government and opposition should be resolved in the normal plane. In fact, these relations is needed. In every developed country, these relations are regulated in the normal manner. Despite the fact that our country is living an independent life for 20 years, unfortunately, the situation in Azerbaijan in this sphere is not normal. But, I can once more repeat that neither we, nor Azerbaijani society pay attention to these actions, these attempts. We go and we will go our own way. No one can stop us - neither of these forces, a group of people within the country, no foreign forces beyond the country. As our path - the path of development and equity. We want to see peace, development in our country and in the region, people to live well, and all our interests to be provided, above all, Karabakh issue to be solved in a short time and in a just manner. This is our natural requirement, since all norms of international law protect our position, and the issue should be resolved only through the international law. Our position is decisive, and I recently once again expressed my opinions on this issue matter. With regard to socio-economic development of our country, I want to repeat that, there are concrete programs on all directions and they have resultsâ€.
