Azerbaijani President meets with residents of Astara region

Baku â€“ APA. President Ilham Aliyev, who is visiting the southern region, met with the residents of Astara region, APA reports. Noting that he had visited Astara several times, President said a number of projects were being implemented in the region. The Head of State said the program on the socio-economic development of the regions was being implemented successfully, its outcomes were observed in Astara, too.

President Ilham Aliyev said production had recently increased in Astara, new enterprises had been opened, schools, kindergartens built in the region. President spoke about the dynamic development in Azerbaijan. He said salaries and pensions had been increased several times, the next rise was expected in the coming months.
