Bahar Muradova: The ambassadors of the US and other countries should take into account that their actions may cause damage to the relations between Azerbaijan and their countries
“Maybe the parliament should send a questionnaire to ask where their interests are sourced from. Maybe if they come to power, they will dance to your tune,†he said.
Faraj Guliyev and Fazail Ibrahimli noted that the issues discussed at the meeting between the representatives of the diplomatic corps and members of the Public Chamber should not be hidden from the people. Faraj Guliyev offered to set up a commission at the parliament to investigate the activity of the diplomatic corps.
“These diplomats must be declared persona non grata, if necessary,†he said.
MP Fazil Mustafa said there is nothing in the meeting of the diplomats with the representatives of the opposition that may cause concern.
Igbal Agazadeh spoke about the expulsion of three students, who are members of the opposition parties, from universities. He also criticized Baku Mayor’s Office for not allotting venue for the opposition in the center of the city.
MP Ali Ahmadov said radical opposition stirs up enmity among the Azerbaijani citizens.
Vice-speaker of the parliament Bahar Muradova said the radical opposition represented in the Public Chamber does not accept YAP members and even the opposition represented in the parliament.
Bahar Muradova noted that the ambassadors of the US and other countries should take into account that their actions may cause damage to the relations between Azerbaijan and their countries.
Speaker Ogtay Asadov said those who give lessons of transparency to the authorities, themselves hold closed meetings.
“Most do not want our president to pursue independent policy. But Azerbaijan will not give up its independent policy. I would like the international organizations demonstrating such a unity to take similar steps regarding Nagorno Karabakh conflict,†he said.
Ogtay Asadov expressed his concern over the meeting of the representatives of some embassies and international organizations with the leaders of opposition party.
“Why don’t the diplomats hold meetings with the parties represented in the parliament?†he said.
