Azerbaijani President: “Salaries and pensions will be raised within a few monthsâ€
President noted the protection of stability, guarantee of people’s security, as well the settlement of socio-economic issues: “Our position is being strengthened in the world. We develop the giant energy projects, which are very important for us and the world. Today the Azerbaijani state has been completely formed as an independent state. The bases of our statehood were fully formed and today we live at our own domestic resourcesâ€.
President Aliyev noted that if there had not been the strong economic bases in the country, if the oil policy had not been conducted correctly, Azerbaijan could face the serious problems: “Who would help us? Now we see the approach with double standards to the processes in the region. I have expressed my own opinion on it. We have been facing the double standards for many years. But today we have no need, because we secure ourselves with own resources. We have gathered the great financial resources and the economic development is on the process. We have maintained manat’s price stabile during the crisis period, we have not let lower-income people to suffer. The social programs were implemented in critical 2009-2010 and 2011. The salaries and pensions will be increased within a few months. That is our policy. Our policy is social. At the same time, we use and will use all opportunities for strengthening of independence. We will not go back on our independent way and will ensure the happy future of the Azerbaijani people. All problems in every region and village must be solved in order to do it. That’s why my visits to the regions have a permanent character. I even try to go to any village and ask what we must do in addition, if there is any problem that we will solve itâ€.
