Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijani Parliament discussed April 2 action held by the Public Chamber, APA reports. MP Zahid Oruj said that the event held on April 2 was jointly organized by religious and political radicals. Saying that today some forces export religion, Oruj urged the opposition to observe the laws.

MP Aydin Mirzazadeh said that the main part of the actions was calls of opposition to foreign forces and support from its embassies. MP Fazil Mustafa drew attention to the events that took place after the rally: “There is no need to hold a picket in front of the houses of some individuals”.

MP Igbal Aghazadeh accused the capital leadership in not allocating a normal venue for holding an action.

Sabir Rustamkhanli said that holding of an action constitutional right of the people.

Deputy speaker of the Parliament Bahar Muradova said that the action was held illegally.

“April 2 action reminded me Sumgayit events. At one time, Sumgayit events organized by special service agency of the USSR were broadcasted in all news of London in order to discredit Azerbaijan in the whole world. That is, it was a planned scenario”.

Asadov noted that the forces that wanted to put Azerbaijan in a bad light, repeated the same scenario of April 2: “I do not believe that after such a disgraceful meeting, they again have the courage to hold a rally”.

The speaker said that Azerbaijan was not the same Azerbaijan that was in those years: “Azerbaijan is an independent, highly developed country. There is no place for such inflammatory issues in Azerbaijan”.
