Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal addresses U.S-Azerbaijan Convention - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku â€“ APA. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal addressed US-Azerbaijan Convention within the conference â€œU.S-Azerbaijan relations: vision for futureâ€ in Washington DC in celebration of 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the United States.

Press service of the SOCAR, one of the eventâ€™s organizers, told APA that Governor Jindal congratulated the people of Azerbaijan and the US on occasion of this event and said that many-field relations were developed between the both countries; especially he highly estimated Azerbaijanâ€™s achievements in energy sphere. Jindal said that strategic partnership was established and developed between Azerbaijan and the US, as well as he drew attention to the high-level relations between the both countries in the international security sphere. He noted the importance of investments in energy sphere and said it played a great role in the opening of new working places and development of economy.

Louisiana Governor informed about the work done in his state and said that they also focused attention on energy security like Azerbaijan. He also noted the significance of the contributions of other states and countries to the energy supply in the world. Representations of the US federal, state and local administration, the guests from the various states, as well as members of the Azerbaijani delegation, representatives Azerbaijani and Turkish public organizations participated at the meeting. They said that following the achievement of independence, Azerbaijan established strategic relations with the US continuously developing these relations. The participants also expressed hope on further development of these relations in the next years.

Then Louisiana Governor attended a banquet following the conference â€œU.S-Azerbaijan relations: vision for futureâ€.

The conference is held at Willard InterContinental Washington today. The event was organized by Turquoise Council, U.S. Azeris Network (USAN), Caspian Strategy Institute and Johns Hopkins University of the US.
