Ukraine hosts WAC 12th congress - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

110 delegates and guests from 30 countries joined the event at Victoria Hotel in Donetsk.

The Congress started with playing national anthem of Azerbaijan. Head of WAC Ukraine representation Mohlat Husehnov thanked to the government of Ukraine for creating conditions to hold the congress. He spoke about the WACâ€™s significance and duties.

Chairman of the South Azerbaijan National Revival Movement (GAMOH) Mahmoudali Chohraganli raised the issue of violation of the rights of Turks in Iran and stressed the importance of cooperation for the national and state interests.

Member of the Turkish parliament Atilla Gaya mentioned the problems of Turks. He said Turkey has been facing terror for almost 30 years and he believed that Turkey will overcome this problem. Gaya reminded that he raised the issue of the Iranian Turksâ€™ rights at the Turkish parliament several times.

Representative of Iraqi Turkmen Front and member of Iraqi parliament Ekrem Fevzi spoke about the importance of native language and urged the Turks to unite efforts against the pressures. Fevzi proposed to hold next congress in Kirkuk, Iraq.

Chairman of South Azerbaijan Democratic Party Mahmoud Bilgun focused attention on the struggle for independence of South Azerbaijan. He said he hoped WAC will give sustainable support to South Azerbaijan.

Chairman of South Azerbaijan Independence Party Eldar Garadghli also stressed the importance of cooperation.

Then the congress elected mandate commission and Divan.

WAC co-chairs Sabir Rustamkhanli, Firudin Parvizniya and others made reports.

Rustamkhanli said the congress focused attention on organizational issues and international relations in the past two years. He said serious work has been done for informing the world community about South Azerbaijan and Karabakh problem. Rustamkhanli said they need in TV channel and newspaper in foreign languages to strengthen lobbyist activity of Azerbaijani Turks.

Parvizniya underlined the importance of economic opportunities to develop and strengthen the organizationâ€™s activity. He said they would achieve restoration of the rights of South Azerbaijani Turks.

Sabir Rustamkhanli, Vagif Arzumanli, Khazar Emin, Ismayil Aghayev, Zalimkhan Mammadli, Atilla Gaya, Shahzad Cahanpanah, Abuzar Bagirov, Tahir Hajiyev, Rahman Abbasov, Kanan Aghazadeh, Firudin Parvizniyam Ajdar Tagizadeh, Eldar Garadghli, Rahmat Rafet, Mohlat Huseynov, Fiad Aghayev, Ekrem Fevzi, Esmira Asgarova were elected the WAC Board members.

GAMOH chairman Mahmoudali Chohraganli became the chairman of Advisers Council, Samir Asadli â€“ the chairman of Supervising Commission.

New board elected Sabir Rustamkhanli and Firudin Parvizniya as WAC co-chairs for next term.
