Ali Hasanov: “Azerbaijani youth must work jointly with Azerbaijani youth abroadâ€
Hasanov gave advices to the youth about the methodology for attracting attention to the problems of Azerbaijan abroad. “You have to choose a methodology that the foreign audience hasn’t left the room when you make speech. You have to choose such topics and approach the issue that you can deliver information about the problems of Azerbaijan, Khojaly tragedy and Armenian vandalismâ€.
Ali Hasanov said that Azerbaijani youth must work jointly with Azerbaijani youth abroad: “Sometimes Chairman of The European Azerbaijan Society Taleh Heydarov sends delegations to Azerbaijan. It must be so. Every Azerbaijani must carry out work that he can. These delegations must be welcomed and hosted by the youth of Azerbaijan here and delegations sent by Azerbaijan should be welcomed and hosted by our youth abroad. The union, which will be established today, will be a continuation of policy pursued by Azerbaijan in this concept. You must know that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his team rely on you and we are ready to do our best for the development of the youthâ€.
Ali Hasanov said one of the major activities carried out in Azerbaijan by Heydar Aliyev after he came to power was the formation of the youth policy.
“Under his decree, Youth and Sport Ministry was established in Azerbaijan early in 1994. The Ministry was instructed to gather, guide the youth, prepare and realize the main directions of the state policy regarding their present and future. The foundation of the present-day activities was laid in 1994. Then it was impossible to speak about the Azerbaijani youth all over the world. We tried to inculcate statehood ideology in our citizens – young people inside the country. Now our youth shoulders the activities carried out for the interests of our state both in Azerbaijan and all over the world. The young people with their intellect, patriotic feelings, skills are able to represent the state worthily. There is an army of young people representing our state abroad. Today we are holding the constituent congress of the World Azerbaijani Youth Union. We will not be surprised if we see the Azerbaijani young people, who have gathered here, in the Russian, Ukrainian parliaments, prestigious public bodies. We are moving towards it. It is worth applauding. Azerbaijani state, people and President pay special attention to the steps serving our national interests taken by our youth in all countries of the world. We are proud of it. A day will come when you will be heard at the parliaments of the UK, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Baltic states,†he said.
