On June 3-4, 2024, chairman of "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC (ADY) Rovshan Rustamov, who is on a visit to Vienna, Austria, met with Chairman of the Board of the Austrian Federal Railways Company Andreas Matthe, leaders of "Rail Cargo" and other advanced transport and logistics companies of this country, APA-Economics reports citing ADY.
According to the information, during the meeting, extensive discussions on the current state of cooperation and opportunities for joint cooperation in the efficient organization of cargo transportation and the formation of return cargo between China and Europe within the framework of the Middle Corridor were held, as well as, opinions were exchanged regarding the organization of transportation from the Black Sea ports to various European countries.
At the same time, the wide possibilities of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which was modernized and recently started freight transportation in order to increase the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor, was briefed.
Heads of Austrian companies expressed their great interest in using the opportunities of the Middle Corridor, including the BTK.
