Baku – APA. The Crimean-Armenian Community has passed a decision at its congress to establish a national-cultural autonomy, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
The new regional association will include 17 local national-cultural autonomies.
Crimean-Armenian Community Chairman Vagharshak Melkonyan said the new autonomy will allow Armenians to pretend to the allocation of funds from the national and state budget for their programs aimed at preserving the Armenian culture and language.
The Crimean-Armenian Community also appealed to Armenia’s Foreign Ministry on the opening of an embassy in Crimea. At present, about 20,000 Armenians are living in Crimea.
