Georgia and Azerbaijan are united by a strategic partnership, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili wrote on his social media account, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, the two countries are united by many years of friendship, mutual respect, and common regional interests.
"It is of particular importance for Georgia to fully utilize the opportunities our countries possess in order to promote regional peace, stability, and economic development," the head of state noted.
Mikheil Kavelashvili emphasized that he believes the activities of newly appointed Ambassador Giorgi Zakarashvili will contribute to further deepening relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
