One polling station has been temporarily closed in Georgia’s Bolnisi region where Azerbaijanis live compactly.
Irakli Porchkhidze, Press Secretary of Georgia’s Central Election Commission, told APA Bureau that Polling Station #57 was temporarily closed.
He said the detector was broken in the polling station and it was impossible to go on with voting process without it.
He added that the polling station has been opened after a new detector was delivered.
There have been no serious irregularities in other regions of Kvemo Kartli Province where Azerbaijanis live compactly.
Members of Georgia’s Central Election Commission, who represent the opposition, said they observed irregularities in all polling stations. Zurab Maragvelidze, a member of the Republican Party, told APA local bureau that there have been serious frauds in Zalga, Gldani, Zugdidi and Suburtalo regions.
“Voters can’t find their name in voters’ list in most polling stations. There is pressure against observers of the opposition. The Central Election Commission continues to say they are probing,” he added.
He added that some voters come and see abnormal voting process and leave the polling stations without voting. /APA/
