Lawyer Eka Beselia:â€ Irakli Okruahvili more likely to get political asylum

She said that Georgian government will not prove that Okruahvili is not political prisoner in German Court.
â€œIrakli is more likely to get political asylum. Our facts that we enumerated in German Court are enough for it. Because German lawyers also confirmed that he is a political prisoner,â€ she said.
Beselia noted that Irakli is in Georgia now and he feels better.
â€œHe is detained in single cell. We could meet him every day when we were in Germany,â€ she said.
She noted that Irakli suuports Levan Gachechiladze, candidate of union opposition. Former Minister signed a special statement on it.
Irakli Okruashvili was detained in Berlin, Germany on November 27 upon the request of the Georgian law enforcement bodies. By December 3 decision of Berlin Court he will stay in prison during the trial on extradition./APA/
