Though police tried to break up the rally, they could not achieve it. Opposition leaders said, however, that they would not abandon their demands and that the protest rally would be resumed at 2:00 p.m. local time. Georgian security forces at Interior Ministry demanded people to leave the square. But the protesters continued their rally, and police started to use force against protesters for breaking up the rally. Georgian security forces fired water cannons and tear gas into a crowd of protesters driving them from a central street in front of parliament after days of protests against President Mikhail Saakashvili. Law-enforcers were able to break up Georgia opposition rally. Injured protesters and several opposition leaders were taken to hospital. /APA/
