Rally of United Opposition in Tbilisi starts

Though rally was fixed 14:00 by local time today, population starts to gather outside the Georgian Parliament in Rustaveli Avenue at the night of November 1 to 2.These people moved from Adjara, Guria, Samegrelo, Imereti, Kartli and Kakheti regions. A lot of cars entered the capital and moved to outside the Parliament of Georgia. Opposition supporters arranged artificial gallows in front of the Parliament and put rose branch instead of rope and hanged Mikhail Saakashvili’s portrait from this branch. Opposition leaders called people to part and come to the square again. Zviad Dzidziguri, Conservative Party leader told the journalists that they will start rallies on November 2 and continue to gain the victory. The main demand of opposition is to hold election in April, 2008 till the amendments are made in Constitution. Parliamentary and presidential elections are decided to be held by late 2008 at the same time after amendments are made in Constitution.
Koba Davitashvili, the leader of Party of People called Mikhail Saakashvili to make dialogue with opposition.
“We want early parliamentary elections to be held. We will not depart until there is a dialogue. Saakashvili, let’s sit for negotiations. If we equally compromise the problem may be solved.”
No fact on violation of public order was recorded in Tbilisi. Traffic is blocked in Rustaveli Avenue. Pedestrians have no problem. Streets near the Parliament of Georgia are blocked where Police and Ambulance cars are mobilized in the center of Tbilisi today. Supermarkets and jewellery shops are closed near the Parliament. Schools near the Parliament are suspended .The united opposition awaits about 100,000 supporters to appear at the rally at 14:00./APA/
