Vitaly Ignatenko dismissed as a director general of ITAR-TASS

Moscow. Farid Akbarov. According to the order of Prime Minister of Russian Federation Dimitry Mededev, Vitaly Ignatenko dismissed as a director general of ITAR-TASS. Sergey Mikhailov was appointed General Director of " ITAR-TASS" state agency.

Sergey Mikhailov was born March 17, 1971 in Arkhangelsk. He graduated from the Faculty of International Information (Journalism) at MGIMO. In 2004 he became a member of the board of "Russian Railways". In 2005-2006 he worked as a head of the department at the Department of Public Relations of Railways. He is one of the founders of the Russian Association of Public Relations. He is member of the Russian Union of Journalists and the author of over 200 publications.
