September 18 marks the 141st anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Azerbaijani composer, musicologist, educator, publicist, and public figure Uzeyir Hajibeyli, APA reports citing Ministry of Culture.
The Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival has been held since 2009, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture. This celebration of music brings together renowned performers and ensembles from various countries around the world each year.
The 18th International Music Festival, running from September 18 to 30, will feature a rich program. In addition to Baku, concert programs, performances, exhibitions, presentations, and other cultural events will be held in Aghjabadi, Ganja, Shusha, Lachin, Aghdam, and Lankaran.
Various events are also planned to take place in Uzbekistan, Germany, and Türkiye as part of the festival.
One of the highlights of this year's festival will be the 1st Congress of Composers of the Turkic World, to be held in Baku.
