A political adviser to Iran's supreme leader said Tehran would keep the Strait of Hormuz closed until US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were out of power, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
“Our fighters will not open the Strait of Hormuz until Trump and Netanyahu are brought down from power,” Mohammad-Bagher Zolghadr said, describing the closure as the first stage of Iran's retaliation.
Zolghadr said Iran intended to avenge those killed in the war and portrayed the country's resistance over the past 200 days as proof that efforts to defeat it had failed.
