Large-scale forest fires which lasted for half month have been extinguished in Turkey, Turkish Minister of Forestry and Agriculture Bekir Pakdemirli wrote on his Twitter page, APA's local bureau reports.
The Minister noted that the fire in Goychegiz district of Mugla was also under control.
Stating that this is the biggest forest fire in the history of Turkey, Bekir Pakdemirli thanked the countries, government agencies and organizations, including the Turkish nation, for their support in the elimination of this disaster, which began on July 28.
