No vessel can pass through the Strait of Hormuz without the country's permission, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
A well-informed military source told Iran's Fars News Agency that the Strait of Hormuz has been completely closed.
According to the source, the strategically important waterway is under full control, and no vessel is allowed to pass through the strait without Iran's authorization.
It was stated that the Iranian Armed Forces have full control over the Strait of Hormuz and that immediate and decisive action will be taken against any vessels attempting to transit the waterway despite the warnings issued.
The source also claimed that three oil tankers were detained last night. According to the source, the tankers continued sailing along an illegal and dangerous route despite repeated warnings from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.
The report said the tankers were stopped following the intervention of operational forces, preventing them from continuing their voyage.
